I've dubbed the current show I've curated at
Brick Oven on 35th Street, "
Sea and Salt."
Madeline Irvine creates her swirling, oceanic-inspired, abstract images using an evaporative process to create salt formations on colored papers. The recent paintings of
Lucy MacQueen feature (mostly) seascapes with curving, crashing, roiling waves. Both artists' works are hung together in groupings creating dynamic interplays of forms and colors.
Stop in for a tasty meal and enjoy Lucy's and Madeline's artwork at 1608 West 35th Street.
You'll have to bring your own seashells for the full audio experience.
